Ocean Alexander Announces 2020 Top Sales Awards

May 6, 2021–Alexander Marine International, the importer of Ocean Alexander yachts, recently announced the winners of the 2020 Sales Awards at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. The winners, Scott Roberton and Kyle Pillsbury, both yacht consultants with MarineMax, Inc., the exclusive East Coast dealer of Ocean Alexander yachts.

This much-anticipated annual award recognizes the top two performing yacht consultants in the global Ocean Alexander sales network. The annual awards dinner took place on Thursday evening of the Palm Beach International Boat Show at Renato’s in Palm Beach and was well-attended with yacht consultants across the United States in attendance.

It is an honor to assemble what I believe is the finest sales team in the industry. To recognize our top two performers each year is tradition I support with great pleasure,” says Dan Mundy, Head of Global Distribution, Marketing, Service and Dealer Development.

Kyle Pillsbury, based at MarineMax Fort Myers, achieved second-place for new Ocean Alexander sales in 2020 with two deliveries with a combined retail value over $17,000,000. “2020 was my first year selling a new Ocean Alexander and to sell two yachts to existing clients moving up in size was an incredible accomplishment” shared Pillsbury. “Both sets of owners were looking for extended cruising capabilities to enjoy with their families. On the technical side, that translates to the handling of the yacht, the range at various speeds, and functional crew accommodations. For the guests onboard for the long trips, the overall quality of the interior finishes, the incredible interior space and volume that is commonly found on an Ocean Alexander, and a variety of spaces to relax were key in their final decisions.”

The first-place award was given to Scott Roberton, based at MarineMax Clearwater, who received this honor for the third time in the six years in which MarineMax has been the exclusive Ocean Alexander East Coast dealer. In the past six years, Roberton has sold over 10 new and brokerage Ocean Alexander yachts with 2020 culminating in three new deliveries and the new-build contract for the first 35 Meter Revolution – the largest of our Revolution series.

Ocean Alexander provides the resources for salespeople to be successful,” explained Roberton. “At every step of the process, from the initial specs and comparisons, to details for materials and décor in the yacht, we have access to crucial information that our clients request. Ocean Alexander has also cemented relationships with a dedicated service team in South Florida that allows yacht consultants to provide an exceptional ownership experience post-sale. The promises made at the onset of the purchase are made possible and finalized by these crucial components.

Roberton adds, “Ocean Alexander constantly updates their products, so they don’t find themselves competing against their own product in the pre-owned market. This makes new yacht sales more desirable for a client in-the-market, knowing that they’re investing in the latest, most updated design, technology, and material advancements within the brand”.

About Ocean Alexander – Two generations of one family have guided Ocean Alexander for almost four decades. With manufacturing in Taiwan and United States, Ocean Alexander is consistently one of the top selling brands for large yachts in the U.S. and currently produces models ranging from 70 to 120 feet in length.
